Washington County Republican Party Calls on Oklahoma Congressional Delegation to Prioritize Passage of the SAVE America Act

Bartlesville, Okla. — On July 27, 2026, the Washington County Republican Party adopted a resolution urging Oklahoma’s congressional delegation to make passage of the SAVE America Act a top legislative priority before the 2026 midterm elections.

The resolution cites concerns about election integrity and calls on Oklahoma’s members of Congress to support legislation requiring proof of U.S. citizenship when registering to vote in federal elections. It also encourages Oklahoma’s U.S. Senators to oppose an August recess if necessary and to use every available legislative tool to advance the bill in the Senate.

The resolution also expresses appreciation for Congressman Josh Brecheen’s leadership and continued efforts to advance the legislation in Congress. It will be forwarded to Oklahoma’s federal delegation and presented to the Oklahoma Republican Party State Committee for consideration.
